The BALPA Benevolent Fund is proud to support the next generation of aviation professionals through its growing scholarship programme. Currently, the BBF funds three annual scholarships in partnership with the Honourable Company of Air Pilots, helping aspiring pilots take their first steps toward a professional flying career. These scholarships provide essential financial support to cover flight training and related costs, ensuring that talented individuals have access to opportunities regardless of their financial background.

Looking ahead to 2025, the BBF is expanding its scholarship offerings to include a broader range of professional licences and qualifications. This new initiative will support both new entrants to the industry and existing professionals looking to develop their careers further—whether through type ratings, instructor training, or advanced professional development.
